Updating video drivers in xp
The reason for either of these annoying interruptions is that the driver for your hard disk simply isn’t on the Windows XP CD….bummer eh.
You probably don’t have a floppy drive either, right?
These old drivers will affect computer performance, and hardware will not be able to operate at its best. Hardware manufacturers may also add extra features to updated drivers for new games to make gameplay and graphics better and smoother.
In other words, up-to-date drivers ensure that your computer runs at optimal levels.
Multiply that by 10, 20, 30 or more hardware devices, and you're in for a very long couple of days.
And who knows what damage you'll do if you happen to manually install a driver that's incompatible with your computer...?
Whenever manufacturers release new hardware, they will also launch compatible drivers to allow hardware to function properly.
Installing the driver uses the same procedure whether you have a video card or integrated graphics.
